Micki's approach to therapy

Micki is a warm and empathic therapist who enables people to feel comfortable to share. She creates a safe space in order to enable couples to talk to each other so that they can understand one another better. This is often difficult for couples to do on their own because they often get caught up in the emotions of what they are saying. In her work with individuals she provides a space that enables her clients to be able to best reflect on what it is that they would like to achieve, whether it be with regards to relationships, their career, or any other life goals.

Micki's Experience

Micki has been working with individuals and couples for more than 10 years. Prior to becoming a Marriage and Family Therapist, she worked in both the public health and business sectors. Her therapeutic style includes using psychodynamic psychotherapy. Some of the other therapeutic tools she includes in her work includes narrative therapy, existentialist therapy, client centered therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma, Two-chair work (George Will) for dealing with ambivalence and Imago and Gottman, for relationship work.

Micki believes strongly in the idea that in order to be a great therapist and coach one must constantly work on themselves. She therefore spends a significant amount of her time investing in herself by learning new skills, tools and techniques that she incorporates into her work with her clients.

Micki’s private practice is based in Jerusalem, Israel, and she also sees clients world wide over skype.
